HBP Summit 2023
Satellite Event - March 27
Exhibition Day - March 28 - 29
HBP Main Days - March 29 - 31
Marseille, France
The upcoming Human Brain Project Summit 2023 is taking place on March 28-31, 2023, at Palais du Pharo in Marseille, France.
This year, the theme focuses on all the excellent scientific achievements made during the ten-year project as it approaches its conclusion (in Sept. 2023); and on its legacy that it will leave for the brain research community: the EBRAINS Research Infrastructure, bringing us closer to a digital brain research area.
The Brain Simulation Section, being a long-term HBP partner, is contributing in several activities during the summit.
The Human Brain Project Summit 2023 provides an open forum for hundreds of researchers, plus policy makers, media and public, to discuss exciting scientific results, the latest developments in the project, and the cutting-edge services and tools available on the EBRAINS Research Infrastructure. It is a great opportunity to share the latest developments of the Human Brain Project with the community and external audiences.
About the Human Brain Project
The Human Brain Project (HBP) is the largest brain science project in Europe and stands among the biggest research projects ever funded by the European Union. It is one of the three FET Flagship Projects of the EU. At the interface of neuroscience and information technology, the HBP investigates the brain and its diseases with the help of highly advanced methods from computing, neuroinformatics and artificial intelligence, and drives innovation in fields like brain-inspired computing and neurorobotics.

Agenda
"Simulating complex neurobiological phenomena of human brain function and dysfunction in a data protection compliant environment: EBRAINS Service for Sensitive Data"
The Satellite event offers a hands-on training for using EBRAINS Service for Sensitive Data to discover, access and use health data for personalized human brain simulations.
The event is addressed to computational modeling scientists who want to use human brain/health data for model construction and validation.
The Satellite event take place on Monday, March 27 from 9:00 to 13:15 CET.
Read our event blogpost for more information.
Booth #15: EBRAINS Computing Services: Health Data Cloud
The Health Data Cloud aims to provide EBRAINS services for sensitive data. This GDPR-compliant, federated research data ecosystem, enables neuroscience research consortia across Europe and beyond, to work with sensitive neuroscience data originating from human subjects, as well as defined routes for sharing of the data and results.
Booth #7: EBRAINS Simulation Services: The Virtual Brain
The Virtual Brain aims to provide EBRAINS services for constructing and simulating personalised brain network models. This cloud-based research ecosystem facilitates reproducible online collaboration and discovery of data assets, models, and software embedded in scalable and secure workflows, a precondition for research on large cohort data sets, better generalizability, and clinical translation.
Talks
Prof. Petra Ritter is contributing to the panel discussion: "Brain Health: An emerging European policy priority", taking place on Tuesday, 28th March at 14:30 CET.
