The AI4Health Summer School is a collaborative effort between the French Health Data Hub and prominent AI research institutions in France, including the Interdisciplinary Institutes of Artificial Intelligence (3IA): 3IA Côte d'Azur (Nice), MIAI (Grenoble), and PR[AI]RIE (Paris).

Event Recap

The AI4Health Summer School 2023, dedicated to the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare, was an immense success. Held from July 3rd to 7th, this 3rd edition, organized by the 3IA Interdisciplinary Institutes and the Health Data Hub, continued to evolve into a pivotal event in the healthcare ecosystem. With renowned international speakers delivering lectures and hands-on sessions throughout the week, the summer school provided valuable insights into the intersection of AI and healthcare, covering topics from ethics and regulation to specialized technical aspects. The event, co-organized by 3IA Côte d'Azur, MIAI Grenoble, Prairie, and the Health Data Hub, garnered participation from over 300 individuals across 27 countries, in both on-site and online sessions. The diverse attendee mix included students, academics, and private sector representatives. Notable speakers like Alessandro Blasimme, Andrzej Rys, and Mihaela Van der Schaar set the stage during the opening session. Moreover, the school featured engaging poster presentations by students, with special recognition given to exceptional contributions. Overall, participants highly praised the event, citing its well-rounded program, top-notch speakers, interactive poster sessions, and informative practical sessions. A remarkable 88% of participants expressed their satisfaction, with nearly 85% indicating their interest in attending future editions. The success of this summer school was made possible by the dedication of speakers, participants, and partners.
